Solicitation No.: FA5270-18-Q-A094, Vindicator System Upgrade

POC: SSgt Angelo Cabuang (email: angelomykael.cabuang.1@us.af.mil) )

Question #1: In the SOW it says 14 AES-1500 firmware upgrade and 24 AES-V5 firmware upgrade, but in the equipment list it says 14 AES-1500 and 28 AES-V5 followed by the building list listing 12 AES-1500 and 28 AES-V5. Can you have someone verify the numbers?

Answer: The amount of AES-V5 firmware has been increased from 24 to 28. Building list has been updated to reflect 14 AES-1500 (the missing 2 is located at Bldg. 705).

Question #2: Will the VCC2 connect to the Vindicator Security Server? If so, then the VCC2 can be a client w/o SQL instead of a standalone w/ SQL.

Answer: There is no security server.

Question #3: Product List - Line item 9 already comes with line item 8.

Answer: Customer’s response - “ Line item 9 may come with 8, but that is there to ensure that we get tripod mounts in case they don’t come with the item and to ensure the mounts are installed with the system.”

Question #4: What is the purpose of Line item 13? Are all V5's being upgraded to AES encryption or are there more V5's that would be TDEA encryption?

Answer: Line item 13 is the V5 encryption hardware and software required for the new headend. All V5s are being upgraded to AES encryption. To avoid further confusion, the amount has been changed from 28 EA to 1 EA. Please do take into account that it is the government’s expectation that all V5s will be updgraded to AES encryption.

Question #5: What is the purpose of Line item 15? Is an extra Vindicator Security Server needed and if so, what is connecting to it? Line item 1 and 15 are the same type of workstations.

Answer: Line item 15 has been deleted (shown below).

15.Item Description: Vindicator Security Server Manufacture: Vindicator Technologies Quantity: 1 EA

Question #6: After talking with Honeywell they said BDOC has (3 VCC's. Do all (3 need to be upgraded or is the VCC2 being placed somewhere else or converting from (3 VCC's to (1 VCC at

BDOC?

Answer: We are only upgrading the VCC within BDOC, we have two VCCs in other buildings on base that are not being upgraded with this project. Line item one identifies this one VCC2 upgrade at BDOC.

Question #7: Is the Government certain only one VCC2 machine is needed for this project (i.e. there is currently no alternate/backup VCC machine in place, no existing VCC machines at ECPs, etc...)?

Answer: Due to budget constraints there will only be enough funding for one VCC2, which is located at Bldg. 705/BDOC.

Question #8: Is the new IDS V5 on the BOM intended to replace the existing IDS V5 at BDOC? Or is this new IDS V5 being installed as a new redundant, concurrent V5 (250) that did not exist before?

Answer: The IDS V5 is replacing the existing IDS V5 at BDOC.

Question #9: Can the Government please provide additional information on item 19 and item 20 on the BOM? Cannot tell what these are from the part numbers and descriptions, so not certain what to quote.

Answer: They are extenders for monitors, keyboards, and mice from the workstation to the cabinets in a separate room.
