Questions and Answers #2, Amendment 0002, FA520917Q0059 Date: 7 Aug 17

No. QUESTION ANSWER

Many time we floor load them to fit more product in a 40ft high cube container. If it requires pallets, you will increase the amount of containers needed by a lot. These can stack safely if they are just on top of each but not if they need to be on pallets.

Please follow the manufacturer's recommendation.

Could you provide more detail on the delivery information requirement?

Specifically, are these 3 equal shipments of 350 units each within a 90 day period or some other qty combination? Please explain if known.

Please refer to the shipping instruction on page 36 and 37 of the solicitation. There is no detailed delivery information regarding partial shipment, quantities, etc. Partial or one time shipment is allowed.

Due to Hurricane Harvey and the vast flooding in Southeast Texas, dehumidifiers will be a very sought after product and availability may be limited and or lead times extended. Please include your lead time information in your quote.

Regarding multiple bids and multiple brand, can we offer 2 separate bids of 1050 for each brand?

As long as they meet the salient characteristics, you should bid the lower priced brand. However, if they are the same price, you may provide two quotes.

There are two different due time and date. The Solicitation Due Date/Time is 10:00 AM 11 Sep 2017. However, FedBizOpps Due Date/Time is 5:00 pm 10 Sep 17, Pacific.

The solicitation Due Date/Time is Japan Time. Japan time is not available for FedBizOpps. Please comply with Block 6 of the solicitation and FAR 52.515-1(c)(i), then submit the quote by Japan time, 10:00 am on 11 Sep 17.

Shipping instruction in the solicitation states that the contractor would need to reach out to SDDC for shipping information once the order is placed. However, we cannot provide a quote for the order until we have the shipping information or consolidation location.

If using IBS system, the winning contractor will book the container with SDDC. Then, the Government will send the container to the factory or warehouse where the products are without any charges to the contractor.

The contractor will be responsible to load the products in accordance with the manufacturer's standard. If the items are not in the United States or other countries authorized for IBS, then your shall include the shipping cost in your proposal. Please refer to the revised shipping instruction in Amendment 0002. However, please be reminded that this acquisition is applicable to Trade Agreements.
