QUESTIONS AND RESPONSES
1. Would it be possible to get plans with measurements? Some of my subs need it because of the different thickness of flooring going in the admin area.
ANSWER: See Attachment 3 as-built plans. The building is 80+ years old and most of the drawings are not digitized.
1. Are we able to obtain the high resolution logo file for the inlay platforms requested? Also, is there a layout which includes the location of the platforms?
ANSWER: high resolution logo file of the platform inlays will be provided to the selected vendor. A layout of the location for the six platforms will be provided after award. To give the contractors some general knowledge 3 platforms will be in each of the first two rooms when looking at the top left of the drawing.
1. Under Product Specifications 1. General requirements: A. it says general flooring area shall be a roll product and may not be a poured or tile floor. Under 2 and 3. Both say the salient characteristics of the flooring rolls/tiles, product must be equal to the following: Again under the statement of work item 2 general characteristics g. it says: shall install a roll product flooring to cover…..and cannot be a poured or tile floor. Seems clear to me they want a rolled product, please clarify if tile will be accepted as well?
ANSWER: A roll product is required in the main flooring areas which are all locations other than the platforms. Tiles no smaller than 2’x2’ may be used to build the platforms (6’x8’) or the vendor can install cut to fit pieces of rolled product here. The color scheme is different for the platforms. The characteristics of the flooring is the same whether it is a rolled product or tile product in the platforms. All flooring must be glued to the ground and if tiles are used the seams need to be flush mounted.
1. I have tried to scale your drawing and have come up with 5,620sf net. Does that sound close? Will there be cove base on all walls?
ANSWER: Not sure how to answer this one, it is close to what I calculated for these rooms. The new drawing attached should provide them what they need to get the room size estimate.
1. Can another site visit be scheduled?
ANSWER: There is not enough time to schedule another site visit as quotes are due June 19th 2020.
