DEPARTMENT OF THE AIR FORCE

HEADQUARTERS, 673D AIR BASE WING

JOINT BASE ELMENDORF-RICHARDSON, ALASKA

03 Jun 2019

MEMORANDUM FOR 673 CONS/PKC

FROM 673 CONS/PKC

10480 Sijan Ave, Suite 358

JBER, AK 99506

SUBJECT: EOD Storage-grade Containers: Questions and Answers

Q1. Are you looking for plain containers for this inquiry?

A1. 673 EOD is requesting that all of the containers are one solid neutral color (specific color doesn’t matter) and that they be modified to match exactly what is in the provided quote from Alaska Custom Containers. 673 EOD is also requesting that the containers be in good condition on the interior and exterior (i.e. no graffiti, damage, or rust).

Q2. Question regarding Attachment 1 – Pricing Schedule, The attachment only has one line for the unit price and extended price. Our quote has more lines, one for each different value. So I placed the total dollar figure in the Grand Total line. I divided that figure by 20 to come up with an average cost per container. Does this need to be different?

A2. It is acceptable to include on Attachment 1 – Pricing Schedule just the final price and then divide by the 20 storage-grade containers to come up with an estimated per container cost . If you provide a business quote that has the items broken out separately, the business quote will be added as an attachment to the awarded contract and is utilized for the technical evaluation.

Q3. Attachment 1 – Pricing Schedule says, “Delivery Date.” Is this the date that we will be delivering the finished product?

A3. The requested delivery date on Attachment 2 EOD Container Specifications lists three weeks.

Our request is that you provide the latest date that all the containers will be delivered to the specified location. The customer is willing to accept complete delivery later than three weeks.

Q4. Attachment 2 (technical acceptability) What exactly do you need from us for this part? What documentation do you need for this part that is limited to 10 pages.

A4. The documentation needed is any business related documents (brochure, business-specific quote, or technical specifications) that will provide the customer with the knowledge that you understand the requirements listed in Attachment 2 EOD Container Specifications and that your offer covers each of them.
