Attachment 2 – EOD Container Specifications

As of: 22 May 2019

EOD Container Specification Information

Twenty (20) each 20 Ft containers (no specific color requirement). Delivery request is for three weeks

ARO.

‐ Eight (8) of the containers will have no customization done to them.

‐ Ten (10) of the ground level containers will have doors and windows cut out and installed:

1 - 2 windows and 1 door 2 - 2 windows and 1 door 3 - 2 windows and 1 door 4 - 2 windows and 1 door 5 - 2 windows and 1 door 6 - 2 windows and 1 door 7 - 2 windows and 1 door 8 - 2 windows and 1 door 9 - 2 windows and 1 door 10 - 2 windows and 1 door

‐ Two (2) will be stacked as lower/upper story containers:

o 1 - will have a cutout in the floor (10’x3’3”) for the staircase that is required to be the same size and location of ground level roof cut-out container for seamless transition, will include three (3) windows, no door.

o 1 - will have a cutout in the roof (10’x3’3”) for the staircase that is required to be the same size and location of upper level floor cut-out container for seamless transition, will include two (2) windows, one (1) door.

‐ The touch-up painting of 12 modified containers to cover the bare metal perimeter of the cutouts to prevent rust.

‐ Please see attached diagram for location and dimensions of stair cutouts and locations for doors and windows. All windows will be 36 inches x 36 inches. Doors will be standard room size.

‐ The roof of one ground level container will need to be cut out for the stairs, as well as the floor of one second story container to create a passageway. In addition, a railing will need to be added around the opening at the top of the stairs for safety purposes.

‐ The containers shall be delivered to the EOD range one at a time on a slide back truck. A POC will be coordinated ahead of time to escort the delivery to the range. From there, 673 EOD personnel will position the containers in the designated area. The area that has been cleared is approximately 300’x300’ and is surrounded by trees, so maneuvering with any larger containers will be very difficult.

‐ The windows and doors will be installed prior to delivery to the EOD range. The windows will have the ability to slide open for access from the outside of the containers. The doors will open in (as shown in the attached diagram) and the position of the handles for the doors requires no

As of: 22 May 2019 specific location. All labor will be done prior to delivery, so the only remaining work to be done will be positioning the containers.
