FA487721QU005 – Bldg 2614 Questions & Answers
Q1. PWS Section 1.3 contradicts section 9.6.2.3. In the first case Integral wall base is called for over carpet, in the second resilient straight base is called for. Which is it?
A1. Integral wall base.
Q2. What are the products, the basis for design of Section 1.3 Project specifics? Descriptions are either obtuse or non-existent at this time. For example; “3mm Cushioned Rubber Flooring (Activity Rooms) “Homogeneous composition meeting ASTM F 1860 requirements” and “3 layer vulcanized construction – rubber wear layer, elastic cushion middle layer and polyester backing” are 100% contradictory of each other. Homogeneous means “non-layered” and then it describes exactly the layers in the desired product. This would then be “Heterogeneous” not “Homogeneous” as required prior.
As given, descriptions are non-functioning; it would be best if the Air force named the desired products. Will you please do that?
A2. Activity rooms are to be shock absorbing carpet system. “SafeLandings” or equivalent.
Q3. Layouts for area of various floor finishes are given for only 3 rooms; 120 A&B, 126 A&B and 130 B. Can we have layouts for other rooms included in the solicitation to properly estimate for amounts of each product required?
A3. Please refer to added attachment titled ‘3.5 Floor Plan – CDC NEW Flooring Plan’ to see all the rooms requiring floor replacements and the materials they need to be replaced with. Room 130 B (Infants), Room 126 A&B (PTA & PTB), and Room 120 A&B (PTC&PTD) are the only rooms where the carpet and linoleum areas will be reconfigured as indicated on the floorplans titled ‘3.4 Floor Plan – Reconfigured Flooring’.
Q4. Please see downloaded document attached “1.final carpet PWS 2021 redacted.pdf;” pages 15 and 16, Section 4.0 Appendices contains non-functional .pdf attachments. Can those documents please be provided independent of the document they are contained in?
A4. New PDFs are provided, attached separately.
