Airlift Support Q&A Q: Are there any current Air Force safety restrictions related to conducting Double Bag Static
Line (DBSL) jump operations?
A: Yes, as of 2016 we are restricted to one DBSL jumper per pass or the D-Bag must be pulled in prior to the next jumper going out while using the CASA 212.
Q: Would the Government be acceptable to an aircraft that has the capability of having the door removed pre-flight and replaced with a safety net to meet this spotting requirements?
A: No, this could pose a safety issue. The safety of all pararescuemen is of the utmost importance and the associated risk is not something the government will accept.
