Questions and Answers
1. What is the propane primarily used for? Heating, water heating, cooking, other special use?
- Yes
2. Will we be provided access to the propane-consuming appliances/equipment in order to conduct required safety/operating tests or are some of these located in Restricted areas?
- You will have access to the tanks that need to be serviced only.
3. Will we be able to deliver propane outside of the normal Hours of Operation as described in General Information 5.0 provided we request it in writing to your office? For example, it there a possibility we could deliver over-night and on weekends and holidays?
- Normal business hours are preferred but a request for other than normal hours can be submitted and if we can accomodate the request we will.
4. Technical Factor: Propane does not “spill”. As you probably know, propane immediately vaporizes upon coming into contact with the atmosphere and when not under pressure. Please explain further what is requested in this section in relation to Propane.
- In the past we have had complaints from the users of smelling propane throughout the building. The word spill would be for any leaks from the propane tanks.
5. If awarded, is the contractor responsible for determining delivery frequency to each propane tank or will we be provided a list of necessary deliveries and locations?
- Buildings with tanks are provided as well. The time and days for deliveries will be arranged after contract award.
6. I am writing to inquire as to why Solicitation FA4861-17-Q-A041 - Creech Propane is only for a
(4) month contract. What will happen after 1/31/18?
- A request for quote will be done before the contract end date to establish a longer term contract.
