TYNDALL AIR FORCE BASE FLORIDA

26 February 2018

MEMORANDUM FOR RECORD

SUBJECT: FA4819-17-Q-7003, DFAC Wastewater Piping, Q&A Posting

1. A site visit was held on 21 February 2018 at 0900 to discuss the statement of work (SOW) and assess the projected work for Tyndall project XLWU 18-1012.

2. The SOW includes the following the following works to be discussed: Repairing the wasterwater system, security requirements, permits, mobilization, demolition and construction.

3. During the course of the site visit there were some questions raised about the nature of the work to be conducted at the DFAC. Among these questions raised were the following:

1. Q: Would weekend work requests or extended hours be available? A: Weekend work request will be available upon request if given proper notification (see SOW) and extended hours of 0600-1800 will also be available if requested.

2. Q: Would a floor sink be acceptable?

A: A contractor may propose a floor sink at the above location as long as it meets the requirements listed in the SOW.

3. Q: What is the cleanliness expectation for work completion?

A: The expectation is for the area to be as clean as found or better.

4. Q: After equipment is removed, will the remaining non-removalbe items, ie. fire sprinkler heads, need to be protected?

A: Yes, all leftover area should be protected from any potential damage.

5. Q: When will the access badge process need to be completed?

A: Immediately upon award the contractor will need to submit paperwork to ensure timelines are met.

6. Q: Will there be a pre-construction meeting? A: Yes, shortly after the Notice-to- Proceed (NTP)

7. Q: Is a Bid Bond required?

A: No, see SOW

8. Q: What is the timeline for this project after award?

A: After award, there will be three weeks for the government to remove equipment for the work area. During this time, the dining facility will be shut down and waiting for awardee to gain base access, receive NTP, and mobilize to begin construction.

4. All eight (8) questions will be posted as a Q&A document to the RFQ posting.

5. The site visit ended at 1000.
