1 SOW
Please confirm that all equipment, bolted down seating, lockers, instruments and pews, work benches, cabinets, and system furniture are to be moved by the Contractor.
Yes, as needed to install new flooring.
2 SOW Will storage areas be provided for moved items. No. Contractor must provide their own sotrage to facilitate the contract.
3 SOW 2.17 Please confirm if new removable thresholds are to be provided by contractor.
Removable threshold are not to be replaced. Carpet and tile to be installed under the threshold. Threshold are metal mainly at exterior doors. Transitions strips are vinyl between the carpet and tile.
4 SOW 2.13.2.7
Will bullnose tile be required at the center of closed doors and at doors without a threshold to prevent a tripping hazard.
The majority of these areas will meet carpet so there will be a transition strip.
5 SOW 2.8
Please confirm that Room 131 is to be carpeted. Room 131 not included in SOW verbage, however indicated on floor plan.
Room 131 not included with remove carpet because it has tile. Room 131 is to be included with “all areas” for new carpet and cove base.
6 SOW
Please indicate if the work is to be performed continuously or will each building/task be performed during multiple mobilizations.
The work will be continuous.
This is phased work. Who will coordinate the phases and who deems priority?
Once the Project is awarded, the Government will determine any scheduling requirements and the Contractor will need to develop their schedule accordingly. The larger buildings will have to be completed in phases and the Government will provide that information once the Contract is awarded.
What is the period of performance for the contract/phases/buildings?
The period of performance for the Contract is 120 days.
9 Who will handle the TS areas and their belongings? The building occupants will be responsible for proper storage of their classified information.
Who moves furniture/equipment and who says which is which?
See SOW 2.19. The user will be responsible for all small and personal items and the Contractor will be responsible for moving furniture and equipment. Equipment that is not movable will be worked around. Auditorium chairs bolted to the floor shall be unbolted and carpet install under the base of the chairs.
Will storage be provided for furniture/equipment removed from office spaces during unfavorable weather conditions?
No
Will weekend and after hours work be allowed and will an escort be necessary?
See SOW 4.0 – Weekend and after hours work will be addressed on a case by case bases depending on location, escort available if needed etc. An escort will be required in the same location as Munition 7025 and Vault Area 164 and 290 etc.
In building 505, the base that run along the main wall throughout the building are missing. Is the contractor responsible for replacement?
There is not any cove base missing in building 505 except some short piece beside a couple of desks. If it was at another building then yes, new cove base needs to be installed if it is missing.
Building 290, WTT Rm 112, need clarification on scope of work for this room.
The room has carpet and is to be replaced per the Building carpet replacement drawing.
Who disposes of outdated/unwanted furniture/equipment?
The Government will dispose of any unwanted items.
Are we tearing down or Lifting.
I would think you would lift as much as possible and only move what you have to.
Personal belonging plus any electrical devices will be handle In what way. Example we don’t want Grandmother vase broken By tearing down or lifting of the furniture. Phones can be left plugged in.
We will notify the facility managers that all small items need to be off the floor and that all breakable items shall be removed because of the lifting and moving of furniture etc. prior to start of work.
"In the S.O.W. each line reads “or equal.” Does this refer to the carpet being equal products as well as the cove base as it typically is on federal projects?"
Correct
19 Auditorium seats in building 505, room 105 have been removed.
20 There are auditorium chairs in room 114, Main Briefing Room, Building 290.
Boeing will have to move the Aircraft trainer in building 431. The government will coordiante the move.
22 Contractor shall submit affidavit for base access at least 10 working days before starting work.
