Statement of Work (SOW)

FOR

6 CS/SCOI Facility 12 month UPS/Battery Maintenance & Preventative Maintenance

PLACE OF PERFORMANCE: Bldg 2308 Florida Keys Ave., MacDill AFB FL 33621

SECTION 1.0 DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES/GENERAL INFORMATION

1.1 Facility UPS/Battery Maintenance & Preventative Maintenance (PM) on existing Consolidated Communications Facility MGE EPS 7000 Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS) from 6th Communications Sq (Bldg 261). The contractor shall provide all “certified” personnel, equipment, vehicles, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and services necessary to accomplish a thorough PM on both unit’s UPS and batteries. PM to be conducted two (2) times a year for the UPS and batteries (every 6 months). Detailed reports for UPS and battery status will be provided to the 6th Communications Sq. at the completion of each PM. May include discounts on parts for the UPS.

1.2 HOURS OF OPERATION. The contractor shall perform the services required under this contract during the following hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

1.2.1 ON CALL. We would need to have access to an on call person 24/7 365 days a year.

In case of emergency, we need to contact a hot line for troubleshooting to direct any action needed to be taken. If the on-line troubleshooting cannot resolve the issue,we need a four(4) hour response time to report Bldg 261.

1.3 SPECIFIC TASKS. The scope of the contracted work will include complete battery inspection to account for; DC voltage, Mhos, Ref Value, % of Ref. Value, Reading status, Strap uOhms ½, AC Ripple Voltage & Current, Specific Gravity. Contractor is required to utilize a remote UPS health monitor system or “eNotify” to assure UPS problems are known as soon as possible. Certified qualified personnel are required to properly complete the tasks provided by the contractor. If awarded the contract the contractor is responsible for the personnel being trained on MGE Eps 7000 UPS Systems to complete any maintenance required.

1.4 The contract work will provide a detailed report to encompass the detailed battery health;

DC voltage, Mhos, Ref Value, % of Ref. Value, Reading status, Strap uOhms ½, AC Ripple Voltage & Current, Specific Gravity.

SECTION 2.0 SERVICES SUMMARY. All work and clean-up will be accomplished in accordance with this PWS and completed within same day.

SECTION 3.0 GOVERNMENT FURNISHED PROPERTY (GFP) AND SERVICES.

None

SECTION 4.0 GENERAL INFORMATION.

4.1. Security Requirements. All personnel employed by the contractor in the performance of this contract, or any representative of the contractor entering the government installation, shall abide by all security regulations of the installation.

Base Access. The contractor shall obtain personal identification passes for all employees, and vehicle passes for all contractor and personal vehicles requiring entry onto MacDill AFB.

Vehicle registration, proof of insurance and a valid driver’s license must be presented for all vehicles to be registered.

Physical Security. The contractor shall be responsible for safeguarding all government property provided for contractor use. At the end of each work shift, all government facilities, equipment, and materials shall be secured.

Security Requirements. Since the areas where the UPS equipment is located is in controlled areas, the contractor will need to be escorted at all times during the work. In the event of movement of classified materials or equipment, all contractor personnel will need to temporarily vacate the work area. Once the classified material is secured reentry will be allowed.
