Frierson Rd and Ped Gate:
Walking around with Mr. Delgado, Duke Progress has a meter pole already mounted in front of Elem School. Contact Bobby Lowder at 803-934-2521 for information/coordination. Emailed from Mr. Delgado, - "Matt the Pole Duke that has with the meter is a Duke owned meter so the contractor building the service for the new camera at the sidewalk will most likely have to install a meter base at the camera location per Mr. Lowder. I spoke to him after you and I met but he can explain best what will be needed from this end prior to start. He is always ready to assist."
Frierson Rd/Elm St Intersection:
Walking around with Mr. Delgado, There is a 120/208 panel on corner of gate shack with space available. Mount camera on free standing structure.
Information about Wireless Solutions:
After discussing the wireless camera solution with Shaw's CSI-B (comm engineer) the wireless solution may have a few road blocks. For a device to transmit over the BITI/Aruba wireless network it has to be CAC authenticated. We are trying to determine if a security camera can be authenticated through other means to allow it to transmit over our network. Our CSI-B is currently recommending using a direct fiber connection to the security cameras if the feed is going to use Shaw's network. The concern that I am getting from my CSI-B and technicians that work with the wireless Aruba network is that any device that will "ride" our wireless network needs to be CAC authenticated. Finally, we are unable to utilize the current Aruba access points located on Shaw, so we have not included the locations of those access points in the provided map.
Information about poles:
Poles must be provided for the cameras unless explicitily stated otherwise. The poles need to match the color of the lightpoles, which is black. The poles must be permanentaley mounted on a conceret slab large enough to support the camera and pole.
