Questions and Answers

1. What condition are the trailers currently in?

a. The trailers are in an unusable condition with extensive water and mold damage throughout. There are not wheels or tires on the trailer but axels are still present. The existence of mold makes the trailers unfit for remodel.

2. Will there be a site visit scheduled or is it possible to obtain access to the building to be removed/demolished?

a. Yes, site visit competed on 12 Dec 17.

3. What is the dimensions of each five trailers?

a. Each of the five trailers is approximately 14’ wide X 70’ long x 12’6” high.

4. Are all utilities disconnected from the five trailers?

a. The government will disconnect all utilities from the trailers prior to demolition.

5. Are there any obstructions around the five trailers?

a. Their as a building approximately 15’ away on the north side of the trailers, there is also a small transformer and fire hydrant approximately 10’ away on the east side of the trailers. All other areas are unobstructed.

6. Does the 1” x 8” welded tubular frame mounted on adjustable steel jacks need to be removed underneath the five trailers?

a. Yes, however, this frame is actually part of the trailer structure. The walls and flooring are attached to this frame as well as the trailer axels.

7. Are the five trailers connected to each other or each standalone unit?

a. The five trailers are connected to each other to make a single structure.

8. Is there any furniture inside the five trailers, if so who will remove and dispose of furniture?

a. No.

9. Does the area under the trailers need to be sodded or seeded after removal of trailers?

a. No. The area under the trailers is asphalt. The selected contractor will need to leave the site clean and orderly.

10. Are there any pictures of the five trailers available, if so please provide?

11. Is there still access for plans for the above referenced project?

a. No.

12. Are there any companies currently providing these types of demolition services for the 49th CONS? If so, what are the current contract numbers?

a. No companies are currently providing these services. Contract numbers are N/A.

Site Visit Q&A, 12 December 2017

1. Is mold remediation needed?

a. No.

2. Does the GOV want any parts/pieces retained as salvage?

a. No.

3. Do the Air Conditioning/Environmental systems remain or go?

a. The units are part of the demolition and removal.

4. What ground care is necessary- is paving needed?

a. Existing pavement should be cleaned of debris; no paving or other ground care.

5. Will the water pipe remain live?

a. The water will be turned off, but water pipe must remain functional after demolition and removal.

6. How should the contractor handle the connecting overhead pipes between buildings?

a. The pipes should be cut flush to the side of the HQ building, insulated, and capped.

7. How should the contractor handle the large external electrical panel?

a. The electricity will be disconnected prior to contract performance; the panel box will remain in place, as is.
