Questions and Answers

Question : Are we are to clean the whole hood and filters?

Answer: IAW the PWS and the NFPA 96 2014 edition (11.4.2* Hoods, grease removal devices, fans, ducts, and other appurtenances shall be cleaned to bare metal prior to surfaces becoming heavily contaminated with grease or oily sludge.) as the NFPA 96 mentions, the whole hood will be cleaned to include grease removal devices, (i.e. filters, oil/grease catchers,..etc..) I have also highlighted what it said in the PWS and it mentions that the whole hood will be cleaned. Let me know if you need further clarification in this matter.
