Requests for Information
Q1: What size Screens are required for Main Conference Room? We would require about a 9’ x 6’ based on the dimension of the room size. The screen will be visible from the back of the room. The contractor will confirm the dimension for appropriate screen size.
Q2: Who is responsible for performing the Electrical installation, GOV or Contractor? The Government will be responsible for electrical installation.
Q3: Will there be a final list of Equipment posted or is this an all Vendor Design and GOV will choose which one is the best design? Vendor design and GOV will choose.
Q4: What type of Control System is desired, Crestron or Extron? Crestron
Q5: Will either room have the need for Video Conferencing? Or Microphones? No
Q6: Will the 2 Lecterns house ALL of the equipment or will there be a main Equipment Rack for the Main Conference Room? The 2 lecterns will house equipment for the main conference room only.
Q7: 2 small Conference Rooms, will Lecterns be required or just Equipment Racks in each? Equipment racks
Q8: Do you have dimensions/schematics of Room 137 Main Conference Room? 56’ x 42’

Q9: How many inputs do both areas require to accommodate the existing media input sources? 1. DVD,
2. TV Tuner, 3. (2) PC inputs, 4. VBrick
Q10: Does the contractor need to provide any media source? Yes, 4 Blue rays and vBricks: 2 for main lecterns and 2 for small conference rooms
Q11: Please provide a count of how many HDMI’s and VGA’s required for each room. Please provide amount of each gender type required. This is key to support Government’s needs. 4 HDMI and 4 VGA all female.
Q12: Please provide style type and device location for each input. Wall plate style? Under conference table? Small equipment rack? Small equipment rack
Q13: What resolution is required for the 75” TV’s? For example: 1080p
Q14: Will 70” or 80” displays be welcomed as alternative sizes? No, 75 inch.
Q15: Do you require expansion for AV growth? If so, how many extra input/output (I/O) ports would you require? Yes, 2

Q16: Is Contractor required to provide new projector(s)? If so, what resolution do you require? Yes, WUXGA
Q17: Does the Government require laser/LED projectors (lamp-less) or prefer lamp-based projector(s)?
LED projectors
Q18: Does Government require projector(s) to be ceiling mounted? Yes
Q19: What size screen(s) do you require? Information would helpful to determine the correct brightness of the projector. Same answer as question 1, LED/LCD projector with 1900x1200 res 4500 lumens.
Q20: How does Government require screen(s) to be mounted: Wall-mounted
Q21: How does Government want the screen(s) to be operated: electrically
Q22: How many inputs do both areas require to accommodate the existing media input sources? Same answer as question 9
Q23: Does Contractor need to provide any media source? Same answer as question 10
Q24: Please provide a count of how many HDMI’s and VGA’s required for each room. Please provide amount of each gender type required. This is key to support Government’s needs. Same answer as question 11
Q25: Please provide style type and device location for each input. Wall plate style? Under conference table? Small equipment rack? Wall plate style, 2 GANG, Small equipment rack.
Q26: Does contractor need to provide new lecterns? Yes, Two for main conference room only
Q27: Will touch panel controllers be required? If so, how many for each area? Yes, For main conference room on lectern and 2 small conference rooms, table top
Q28: Do you require expansion for AV growth? If so, how many extra input/output (I/O) ports would you require? Yes, 2
Q29: Does Government require the AV equipment to be centralized and supported within the Main Conference Room for all rooms – No. Main conference is separated from the two small conference rooms.
Q30: Will Government provide electrical power for all new AV requirement/equipment? Same answer as question 2.
Q31: Is this work subject to SCA or Davis Bacon rates? SCA
Q32: Item 1.4.1: Will any of the existing equipment, including monitors show in the pictures, be used for the new system? No. If so, does the contractor have responsibility that each item is in good working order?
If not, is it the responsibility of the contractor to remove and dispose of all of the unused equipment?
No, govt will remove prior to work starting.
Q33: Items 1.4.1 & 1.4.2 state Digital Antenna TV input. Is the contractor to provide a DTV receiver to be included for each system? Yes
Q34: Item 3.2: Is the space above the drop ceiling return air plenum? Yes
Q35: Item 3.5: Specifically, how many hours of training are anticipated? 2-4 hrs
Q36: Item 3.6: States no GFE, but 1.4 states that computers are “not inclusive”. Please clarify. We are using our own govt computers connected to a government LAN network. Need an input to connect local or other govt agencies as well that will not affect the LAN or govt communication network.
Q37: Item 3.8: Is surface mounted wire molding acceptable? No
Q38: What is the time frame for project completion, including installation and training? 6 weeks.
