PURCHASE YARD RAMP (LOADING DOCK) for 452 APSF

JOINT REGIONAL DEPOLOYMENT CENTER

25 Jul 2018

1. INTRODUCTION

a. The 452nd APSF move/deploy several thousand troops and assets through our facility each year. Contingency cargo movements which includes rolling stock, i.e. vehicles, and trailers etc. will arrive on March Field loaded on tractor trailers. We need the ability to offload such equipment using our concrete ramp in a safe and efficient manner. Our Joint Inspection yard will be reclaimed by Base Operations to provide needed VIP aircraft parking spots in front of their facility, thus we must relocate. We will no longer have the ability to use the concrete ramp for such operations, especially when an aircraft is in the same proximity to the ramp. Our new Joint Inspection yard, which will be relocated to the former site of hangar 385 will need to have the same means to offload such equipment. Therefore, a Yard Ramp will provide a practical solution to meet our requirements.

b. We are asking for the purchase of a Yard Ramp (Loading Dock).

2. Yard Ramp

a. We are looking for a yard ramp with the approximate rating capacity of 60,000 lbs. The yard ramp itself shall be made of steel. We require the level off deck length of a minimum of 20’ with the ramp length at approximately 30’. The overall width of 190” with a service width of 184”. The deck must be adjustable to approximately between 42”- 56” in height. We require transition plates approximately 16”L x 24”W to fold down to contact the tractor trailer for ease of offload/on load. We are looking for an optional electric lift motor for the leveling dock.

3. Conclusion

While I am not endorsing one specific manufacturer, I am requesting the following specifications are met to full-fill our needs. I hope you find this acceptable to move forward on this purchase.
