MEMORANDUM FOR RECORD

FROM: 7 CONS/PKB

SUBJECT: FA4661-19-Q-0024 7 EMS Wash Rack

1. The purpose of this memorandum is to record questions and answers submitted by the contractors interested in this requirement.

a. Pg 1 Sec 1.1 Para C – Please confirm that there shall be 5 total hot water wash stations of which 3 shall be capable of operating simultaneously at full performance (25 GPM @ 175PSI each). However all 5 could operate at once, just at a lower performance level.

i. Yes, we are requesting 5 total hot water wash stations of which 3 shall be capable of operating simultaneously at full performance (25 GPM @ 175PSI each) with the option to operate all 5 simultaneously , just at a lower performance level.

b. Pg 1 Sec 1.1.1 Para C – Please confirm that there shall be 5 total foamer wash stations of which 3 shall be capable of operating simultaneously at full performance (8.9 GPM @ 100 PSI each). However all 5 could operate at once, just at a lower performance level.

i. Yes, we are requesting 5 total foamer wash stations of which 3 shall be capable of operating simultaneously at full performance (8.9 GPM @ 100PSI each) with the option to operate all 5 simultaneously, just at a lower performance level.

c. Pg 2 Sec 1.1.1 Para H – Please confirm 40HP size is correct for air compressor. This seems very large for the foamer system.

i. The compressor size can vary as long as it meets the 120 PSI requirement and operates the foamer system in an efficient manner, that does not overwork the compressor, and has the ability to keep the holding tank filled to capacity without a loss of air pressure.

d. Pg 2 Sec 1.1.1 Para G – Please provide information on any known required Environmental Permits and or Compliance Testing.

i. See attachment: Environmental Specifications

e. Pg 3 Sec 1.5.3 – Is there a minimum length required for the parts and labor warranty?

i. We would like, at a minimum, all parts and labor covered for 1 year from installation with options to extend coverage of all parts and labor.

f. Pg 2 Sec 1.1.3 Para E – Is the contractor required to provide all required breakers for building distribution panel and make final electrical, water, and NG connections?

i. Yes, the contractor would be responsible for providing all breakers for building distribution panel and make all final electrical, water, and natural gas connections.

g. Pg 1 Sec 1.1.1 Para F – Please confirm normal soap dilution ratio that the foamers shall be capable of operating at?

i. The normal soap dilution ratio used is 1 part soap to 9 parts water.
