WOC Display System Modernization FA4626-20-Q-0076 Questions and Answers
Question # Question Answer
Are you planning on keeping your current control system and video switch with this upgrade? If so can you provide the current make and model of this equipment?
Yes.
Power Distribution: Juice Goose, JG9 Control Processor:
Creston, CP2E Video Input/Output System: Datapath, VSN972
If keeping your current control system, do you have the source programming code available for this system? Unknown at this time. We are trying to contact the original contractor and see if they provided the source programming code to someone on base.
Could you provide the make and model of the current audio system that will be integrated with the new display system?
Bogen Classic Series C-100
This project seems to come around every year about this time. We have submitted bids at least three times now for different configurations so I must admit to being slightly wary of doing it yet again. What are the chances this will happen this time? IAW the Addenda to FAR 52.212-1 para. (d), funds are not presently available for this effort. No award will be made under this solicitation until funds are available.
Several different approaches have been addressed in the past iterations - stacked projectors, new video wall, and reuse of video wall.
I see we are back to projectors again - not stacked - but we are faced with the questions encountered on the first time around which were never answered - namely availability of power at the soffit for the projectors and the strength and stiffness of available mounting positions.
After talking with CE, it seems that we are capable of running power to the soffit and/or ceiling. The soffit is a normal drywalled in structure and the ceiling is a false ceiling, so it may require an extended arm for a projector (to reach a surface that it can be mounted to).
We are working with CE to obtain a diagram of the space.
I have visited the site but unfortunately was not allowed to take pictures. I do not seem to have a record of the actual dimensions of the room - in particular the height of the ceiling, soffit and distance from the front of the room. Can you please provide?
Height of Ceiling: ~16’ 7” Soffit: ~27”x52” Distance from top of soffit to front of room: ~27’
I also note that mention is made of the need for IP based inputs; if I recall these are for H264 cameras. Can you please confirm this is the case and the number to be accommodated? We do not have the need for cameras on this project.
8 What make and model is the current digital video switching system? Is it capable of multi-window processing with (3) three 4K outputs? We assume the switching is currently part of the video wall processor. Please verify.
Power Distribution: Juice Goose, JG9 Control Processor: Creston, CP2E Processing three 4K outputs: Unknown
What is the make and model of the current control system and its approximate age?
Video Wall Controller: Datapath, VSN972 Age:
Unknown
