AMENDMENT 0001
The purpose of this amendment is to add descriptive verbage to better clarify the requirements of the breechable doors. No particular part number for the door or breeching system is required by the Government. The contractor shall provide all doors with a steel frame, a steel door, and reinforced hinges capable of withstanding an indefinite number of breeches using a handheld breeching/ram tool or prying tool. All doors must have a heavy duty strike plate located at the strike point of the door so as to withstand an indefinite number of strikes without significantly deforming the door or weakening its structural integrity. The strike plate must be of sufficient size so as to minimize the possibility of mis-strikes damaging the door. All doors must also have a locking capability to be secured while not in use. The Government does not require the capability for shotgun or explosives breech.
