Q&A for Warhawk Kitchen
Q1: Is this a brand-new contract or is (was) an incumbent performing these services? If not brand new, could you please provide the current/previous contract number?
A: This is a brand-new solicita�on as it is a one-�me specialty cleaning and restora�on service.
Q2: Is there a bid walk through for the units that need cleaned?
A: There will be a pre-bid walk through on 3 May 2024 at 9:00 AM CT. Vendors interested in atending the pre-bid site walkthrough should email Mr. Daniel Kuchar (daniel.kuchar@us.af.mil) and SSgt Joshua Connelly (joshua.connelly.1@us.af.mil) to start the process of ge�ng veted for base access.
Q3: Are there any DFARS 252.254-7012 or NIST SP 800-171 requirements on this contract?
A: The following clauses are required for this solicita�on:
1. 252.204-7019 No�ce of NIST SP 800-171 DoD Assessment Requirements.
2. 252.204-7020 NIST SP 800-171 DoD Assessment Requirements.
3. 252.204-7024 No�ce on the use of the Supplier Performance Risk System.
Offerors are expected to have submited an assessment in the Supplier Performance Risk System (SPRS) and to adhere to the cybersecurity regula�ons found in NIST SP 800-171. Offerors will not be eligible for contract award if they do not have an assessment in SPRS. There are no clauses specific to the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Cer�fica�on (CMMC) in this solicita�on.
Q4: How many commercial refrigerators are there to clean? What are the approximate sizes of the refrigerators?
A: There are two opera�onal refrigerators that need to be fully cleaned (all surfaces). One is 108
sq. �. and the other is 76 sq. �. There is one other refrigerator that is not opera�onal that only needs the floor cleaned inside.
Q5: Is the �le/grout on the walls and/or the floor?
A: Both the walls and the floor are a �le and grout style covering.
Q6: What does the live electrical contact look like?
A: Regarding paragraph 1 in the PWS, there are live 120V outlets on the walls in the main kitchen area where wall cleaning is required. Power to these outlets will not be turned off.

Q7: Do the range hoods need to be cleaned?
A: The range hoods do not need to be cleaned. Those are cleaned and maintained by another contractor.
Q8: Will mold remedia�on need to be performed?
A: In some areas, there may be spots of mold. The contractor is expected to remove/remediate any mold spots within the areas for which they are responsible according to the PWS.
Q9: Can the opera�onal refrigerators be turned off prior to cleaning?
A: Yes
Q10: Can the gas to the ranges and stoves be turned off prior to cleaning?
A: Yes
Q11: Is mopping sufficient to clean the floors?
A: Mopping alone is not sufficient. Contractor is expected to deep clean the floors to get grime, grease, and dirt off using whatever method they feel most effec�ve.
Q12: Where will the contractor be able to enter and exit and bring in tools?
A: There is a dock on the back side of the kitchen area that the contractor may pull up to and use during the project. The door is 83” tall and 58” wide.
Q13: Are there restrooms for the contractor to use in the facility?
A: There are no restrooms in the facility. Contractors may u�lize the restroom in the lodging building right next to the community center.
Q14: Are there specific chemicals that are required? Specific chemicals that are not allowed?
A: There are no specifica�ons to the chemicals that will be used to clean the facility. However, contractors must exercise good judgement in selec�ng their chemicals as the facility will be used for food prepara�on.
