Attachment 6 Pre-Proposal Offeror Questions and Government Responses

LF Sump Pump

FA4528-18-R-0003

16 January 2018

1. Will Temporary fences be needed at any time to close the site while grading or trench exavation is taking place?

A) Temporary fence may be needed if the site is not closed up overnight. Temporary fence is not needed while there are escorts there during the day and work is being done.

2. If temporary fence is required, how much and what type at each site?

A) Temporary fence is to be chain link fence consistent with existing site fencing 7’ high. Barb-wire outriggers are not required and cementing of posts for temporary fence is not required.

3. Raising or adjusting the fence elevations wouldn’t be an option as noted some of the exisiting posts are in a concrete footing. Is it to be assumed that the grading on both sides will grade up to the existing fence elevations on all sites or will adjustments be needed?

A) Adjustments will be needed. If the existing posts are in a concrete footing that can not be pulled from the ground, existing post will need to be cut off at current ground level and new posts installed at the proposed elevations.

4. Does a ND Driversd License work for the Real ID?

A) ND driver’s license is acceptable ID as North Dakota currently has a valid waiver from the REAL ID program.

5. Is Type II cement acceptable and if so what is the percentage that will be required?

A) Air-entraining admixture is fine as long as it complies with ASTM C260/C260M. Air content 6%, +/- 1%.
