87 CS Image Server Build RFI’s
Solicitation Number - FA448423Q0052
Answer: KVM will need to be within quote. 16 port KVM with DP capabilities is requested.
Q3: May the customer confirm the QTY of servers?
Answer: 1 sever/3 Network switches
Q4: Would the customer like single 12 core processor or dual processors?
Answer: single 12 core processor will work
Q5: For the 1 Tb SSD for OS and 3 TB SSD, is that raw or usable storage? If usable, what RAID for each? If the customer would like raw storage, would they just want QTY 1 of a 1 Tb SSD and
QTY 1 of a 3 TB SSD or would they like to split it another way?
Answer: The 1TB SSD will be parted for OS and any software that will be added in the future to the image(s) in RAID 1 format. The 3 TB SSD will be used for user profile back-up before the image of desired machine and before DISKPART. 3 TB SSD will be in configured RAID 0 format.
Q6: What is needed for networking? How many ports and speed? RJ45 or SFP+?
Answer: 48 port for the 3 switches with RJ45 ports with PoE+ and SFP+ (Single Mode) connections minimum 10GE link. NOTE: to conform with regulations, switches must be Cisco
9300 48P-E models.
Q1: Does the UPS need to support the 3 Cisco switches and the server?
Answer: The UPS will just support Server and one (1) switch.
Q2: Does the customer have the KVM or are we quoting a new one?
o If a quote is needed, is there a specific model the customer needs?
