Statement of Work (SOW) For
821 CRSS/DOS
Vertical Carousel
The 821st Contingency Response Support Squadron Aerospace Ground Equipment/Power Production shop has a requirement for one vertical carousel.
Description: The Contractor shall provide all supervision, labor, materials and equipment to purchase and install 1 each Vertical Carousels to support this requirement. The contractor shall install the Carousel system at the 821st CRSS. The contractor shall be responsible for all electrical hookups/connections from the unit motor to the electrical disconnect/panels, as well as a final functional check of the carousel system.
Specifications/Salient Characteristics:
• Contractor shall adhere to all Travis AFB and all federal OSHA standards.
• Carousel must be fully enclosed and store shelves or drawers vertically
• Vertical carousel must be able to select specific tray number
• Vertical carousel shall come equipped with a method to operate equipment without power
• Vertical carousel must have a safety device installed to immediately stop equipment in the situation that any foreign object enters the access door during tray movement
• Unit will be no taller than 12ft 0.1 in
• Unit will be no wider than 12ft
• Unit will be no deeper than 7ft
• Unit must have minimum 400 sq. ft. of storage
• Vertical carousel shelves shall have two tiers (removable if necessary), one with open storage and the others with removable storage boxes.
• Each shelf shall have a 1-2 foot height requirement
• Must offer a minimum 5 year warranty
• Vertical carousel must be equipped with emergency stop button
• Vertical carousel must have ability to be pin protected to prevent access from unauthorized personnel
• The electrical disconnect box will have a blade switch
Special Requirements:
• Contractor will provide a certified electrician to run power from the power panel to the vertical carousel including the disconnect box
• Contractor must secure vertical carousel to ground preventing equipment from tipping
• Contractor must function test equipment after installation to ensure proper operation
• Contractor must provide 1 hour in person initial training for up to 15 personnel on vertical carousel operation at completion of install
Qualifications/Certifications:
• Contractor will provide a certified electrician to install power for carousel operation
