1 Special Operations Wing Civil Engineering Dormitory

Integrated Furniture Requirement Statement of Work

(SOW)

2 July 2018

01.00 SCOPE

This specification establishes the MINIMUM requirements for purchase and installment of dormitory window coverings for the Hurlburt Field dormitories. The selected dormitories have a combined total of 218 rooms and should be furnished with the material quality listed or better, including but not limited to: Nightfall room darkening, Blackout material, side u-channels and top fascia.

Attached to this SOW is a diagram outlining the basis for the equipment requirements. These codes/models ARE NOT meant to be a sole source solicitation, it is merely a basis for the required quality and style of window coverings requested for mission completion.

03.00 GENERIC REQUIREMENTS NOT BY ROOM.

03.10 PRODUCT INSTALLATION

The contractor shall provide not only installation of all components, hardware and parts necessary for a proper assembly, installation and operation and list them on the Project Quotation as well as removal of old window coverings and hardware. The Contractor shall furnish all missing components, hardware or parts. The buildings do not have elevators so the contractor is to provide a lift in order to install new and remove old blinds. Existing blinds to be removed from occupied rooms. Blinds will be disposed of in dormitory dumpsters.

- The contractor will be delivering to all locations. The intent is for them to deliver and install in each room. There are 2 buildings for each dorm with 3 floors for each building.

There are no elevators for the dorms, which the contractor needs to understand, and they will need to provide a lift capable of delivery and removal of shades and equipment to the 2nd and 3rd floors.

- Breakdown of floors per bldg.:

91056 A-wing 1st floor – 16 2nd floor – 16 3rd floor - 16

03.20 PRODUCT SERVICING AND WARRANTY

The contractor shall provide at a minimum 5 year warranty service. Defective Components and parts shall be repaired or replaced as soon as possible but within a reasonable amount of time, at no additional cost, including freight. Normal wear and tear is exempt.
