Questions Building 501 Chiller Replacement
Solicitation # FA303021Q0025
1. Will a contractor be required to submit a Project Specific Safety Plan?
The contractor shall submit an Accident Prevention Plan as stated in SOW 1.7.1
2. Will the contractor be required to submit a QA/QC plan and/or provide any QA/QC reports?
The contractor shall provide Quality Control (daily) reports as stated in SOW 4.3
3. Will a contractor be required to provide a full‐time on site superintendent?
Site Superintendent can be designated by Contractor as Foreman.
4. Will a designated safety person be required on site while work is being performed?
The contractor shall adhere to the submitted Accident Prevention Plan as stated in SOW
1.7.1
5. If each is required, can the superintendent and designated safety person be the same individual?
The contractor can designate both the superintendent and safety person as the same individual.
6. If a safety person is required, is OSHA 30 certification required or will OSHA 10 be sufficient?
Will the safety person also need CPR certification?
The contractor shall comply with OSHA standards where applicable for project completion.
The contractor shall adhere to the submitted Accident Prevention Plan as stated in SOW
1.7.1 in regards to CPR certification.
7. Will the contractor be required to provide a schedule for the project, including weekly updates based on progress?
Yes, the contractor shall provide a schedule for the project. The contractor shall include daily quality control reports on progress as stated in SOW 4.3.
8. Will a contractor be required to provide portable toilet facilities or are there facilities on site available to workers?
The contractor will be required to provide toilets as the facilities on site will be unavailable to workers.
9. Will the contractor be require to provide weekly progress reporting?
The contractor shall include daily quality control reports on progress as stated in SOW 4.3.
10. Does the owner expect any operator training for the new installation or will providing
Installation, Operation, and Maintenance Manuals, including Recommended Spare Parts List, be sufficient?
Operator training is expected. Refer to SOW 1.4.
11. If applicable, is the contractor expected to purchase and provide any recommended spare parts for the project?
Spare parts are not expected to be purchased from the contractor.
