MEMORANDUM FOR RECORD

SUBJECT: Requirements Update for Solicitation # FA301623U0282
1. The purpose of this amendment is to provide responses to the questions submitted for the subject solicitation.
2. Government responses to questions:
Q1: Engineer estimate/estimated budget price?
A1: Engineers will be paid in accordance with the Wage Determination No.: 2015-2023, 07/12/2023. If the Occupation Code - Title is not listed, then a request to have that specific occupation listed on the Wage Determination shall be made to the U.S.
Department of Labor.
Q2: Who will be responsible for Electrical works?
A2: Any electrician provided by the contractor shall be a licensed electrical contractor.
The electrician will be paid in accordance with Davis-Bacon wage determination TX20230231, $31.95.A2: 3 Drawer including file drawer.
Q3: Who will provide power outlets in AV racks and field AV devices?
A3: AC power outlets shall be provided convenient to each item of equipment. AV racks and field AV devices will be provided by the contractor.
Q4: Who will be responsible for conduit and raceways for AV cabling? Will there be a need to run new conduits and raceways?
A4: The contractor will be responsible for conduit and raceways for cabling. Additional conduits and raceways will be determined by the contractor.
Q5: Will there be Owner-furnished contractor-installed equipment?
A5: No, Owner-furnished property is already installed. Contractor-installed equipment will be provided by the Contractor under this contract. Please see Attachment 2 - Statement of Need, Section 3, "Existing Equipment to remain installed include" from the RFQ.
Q6: Who will provide wall backing support for displays?
A6: Please see Attachment 2 - Statement of Need, Section 3, "Existing Equipment to remain installed include" from the RFQ.
Q7: Will a network be provided for this AV system?
A7: The customer will provide a network for the AV system to access.
Q8: The requirement is for the system to be compatible with web conferencing platforms
(Teams, Zoom, etc.) which will require running it to a PC. Will the PC be owner furnished?
A8: Per Attachment 2 – Statement of Need, Section 3, "User Interface – 2 each (1 Primary and 1 Alternate)," web conferencing platforms (Teams, Zoom, etc.) will require running to the User Interface devices.
Q9: Are there any specific accessibility features that need to be integrated, such as closed captioning or hearing assistance systems?
A9: There are no special features that need to be integrated.
Q10: What type of display do you require? Do you require TAA compliant displays?
A10: Each flat panel display will be a Wide Screen, 65" or 55" (2 of each), 4k Ultra High
Definition, and LED. Yes, the displays do need to be TAA compliant.
Q11: What is meant by **6 Speaker and Microphone Combo – Drop Ceiling Mount
Version**? How many speakers and MXA920 ceiling microphones are required in the room?
A11: The conference room has a false ceiling that is often referred to as a “drop ceiling”.
Six (6) speakers and MXA920 ceiling microphones will be required.
Q12: Can you provide more details about the Spectrum‐Instructors Media‐Console? What is the required height? The dimensions that were provided are the width and depth only.
A12: Modular workstation that provides a durable room for conference centers that rely heavily on the use of laptops, and workstations. The console comes with equipment rack features conducive to equipment mounting. The console provides lockable access doors used to provide security and quick access to the front and rear of the console making it easy to maintain audio, video, and multi-media equipment.
Though there is no stated height requirement. The dimensions of the preferred station is 42.375” W [107.6 cm] x 30”D [76.2 cm]. Equipment Rack Rails • 18RU - (36”H)
Q13: How do you intend to distribute video signals to the 4 displays and projector? There are only two pairs of HDMI extenders in the BOM?
A13: Contractor supplied video splitters will enable the video signals to be displayed in the 4 monitors. The existing projector that is currently in the room will not be utilized as part of any conference center briefing.
Q14: Please provide a single line diagram of the intended system to make sure all needed devices will be included in the BOM.
A14: Please see updated Attachment 3 – Conference Room Measurements.
Q15: Progress payment for stored equipment due to long leading time?
A15: Payment will be authorized only after acceptance of completed work.
Q16: Does the jobsite have a loading dock?
A16: Jobsite does not have a loading dock. Building contains entry points that are level to the ground.
Q17: Free parking? The distance from the jobsite building.
A17: Jobsite has ample parking spaces that lead directly to several entry points to the building/projected work area. All available parking is free.
Q18: Storage location or any storage space?
A18: Storage space for this projected work site will be the conference room, which entry is controlled by access requests and a key.
3. All other terms and conditions remain unchanged.
