RFQ FA301622U0255 – HONEYWELL IDS REQUIREMENT

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS (Q&A)

Question: 1. Section 2.2.1.10.1(page 7) states that conduits or ducts installed under the project shall be 4 inch inside diameter however, the table in section 2.2.1.11.1.1.2 calls out 2 inch. Would you please provide some clarification?

Answer: 502 CS/SCOW has authorized the use of 2” Schedule 40 PVC to be placed from each ARMAG to Bldg 5486. SOW has been corrected

Question 2. Section 2.2.1.10.12(page 10) only mentions two ARMAGs however, during the site visit we were told a third ARMAG was in the works. Should the requirement include a third 6 port FODP?

Answer: No, a third FODP will not be required.

Question 3. It was mentioned during the site visit that recent electrical work had been performed around the area where the proposed work is to take place. If it is possible, can you please provide the depth of the buried conduit?

Answer: This is not available. The Contractor must coordinate with 902 CES before any digging per SOW, para 2.1.4 & 2.2.1.3

Question 4. 2.2.9.2 Butter Drawing (page 13)- Are current drawings available and what program for the current layout?

Answer: 502 CS/SCOW has stated that there are no butterfly drawings.

Questions 5. What is the expected performance period for Phase 1 project?

Answer: From date work begins, 90 days to completion. 802 SFS has requested to perform joint testing with the contractor.

Question 6. Will Security Forces allow penetrations into the exterior wall of the SIPRNET room?

Answer: Yes, the contractor will not need to do any coordination

Question 7. I noticed no X10 lock on the SIPRNET, will this room also require Intrusion Detection?

Answer: If the room contains the alarm panel (ie..1500 or V5) the area will need to be alarmed. No requirement for X10 lock. The contractor shall alarm the room.

Question 8. Will Honeywell Vindicator panel require dedicated power circuit?

Answer: Yes, the contractor is required to run the necessary power circuit to the panel.

Questions 9. Will Armags be mounted, secured and grounded before project starts? This will be required if burn in phase of IDS system is required.

Answer: Yes. This will be performed by the Government.
