QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Cut-off date for contractor questions is: 10:00 AM CST, Friday, 9 July 2021.

Questions

Question 1: Which bunk you actually would like to have quoted for your site? Our Double Seg (hard pan) bunk bed 36” x 80” and there is also an attachment with a screenshot from our webpage highlighting that bed (BEDSEGDBL3656). However there are also photos of existing single spring bunks already set up as an example. We manufacture both styles of beds and as a general rule the Double Seg Bed is only purchased by correctional facilities whereas the spring bunk-able beds are purchased by the military.

Government Response: We would like to go with the 36” x 79” spring bunk-able bed. Please note that the Government requires 100 complete bed systems. (1 bed system = 1 top and 1 bottom bunk). The specification picture only shows 1 bottom bunk.

Question 2: Is there furniture or fixtures already on site that will need to be removed prior to installation?

If so, what should the contractor do with it? Will the base keep the furniture or will the contractor be required to dispose of it?

Government Response: The area will be empty prior to installation, there will be nothing to dispose of prior to installation.
