Statement of Work

350 SWTS, JBSA-Lackland, Texas

350th Special Warfare Training Squadron Preparatory Course Dormitory Furniture

17 May 2019

1. GENERAL

1.1 The 350th Special Warfare Training Squadron (SWTS), Preparatory Course requires the addition of office furniture in order to modernize and present a professional appearance while fostering a more academically sound environment in order to assist in the administration, counseling, and mentoring of all students assigned to the unit.

1.2 The Government shall not exercise any supervision or control over the contract service providers performing installation and removal related to this purchase. Such contract service providers shall be accountable solely to the contractor, who in turn is responsible to the Government.

1.3 Background and Objective:

This Statement of Work defines the requirements for the contractor to deliver, assemble and install all components of the requested office furniture in order to create a professional and symmetrical look for the use of furniture by the 350 SWTS students located in building 5570 on Lackland AFB, JBSA-Lackland, TX.

2. SCOPE

This Statement of Work (SOW) covers requirements for the shipping, assembly and installation of new modern furniture in order to provide a more professional appearance and foster a universal one-look approach that will ensure the SW Preparatory School house remains up to date with the latest hardware and equipment.

3. BACKGROUND

The 350th Special Warfare Training Squadron (SWTS) Preparatory Course, located at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, TX, leads, trains, mentors, develops and provides initial skills training for 1150 SW Prep students annually. SW Prep students require sound sleeping conditions in order to participate in a grueling course of training over the course of 8 weeks. SWTS utilizes a converted BMT dorm as a training facility.

4. REQUIREMENTS

The SW Preparatory schoolhouse currently utilizes the third floor, building 5570, JBSA- Lackland, TX. The 350 SWTS is requesting 100 sets of bunk beds and 200 M4 Rifle wall lockers in order to provide sleeping quarters.

4.1 General Requirements

4.2 Delivery

Interaction between the contractor and their personnel with SW prep students is prohibited.

The contracting company shall be responsible for off-loading items from the delivery vehicles and shall provide any additional equipment to accomplish the task in terms of special tools or machinery to get the vehicle properly and safely off the truck. The customer will move items (furniture) from the coordinated drop off point into desired location within building 5570.

Please note the following:

• There are 3 floors in building 5570

• The furniture will be installed on floor 3 of building 5570

• There is no commercial elevator available

• There is no loading dock available

• Pictures for reference are available

4.3. Hours of Operation

The contractor shall have access to the site from 0730 – 1630 Monday through Friday (excluding weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and federal holidays). If the delivery and assembly process should take more than one day of work, the contractor shall report to the site PT Supply NCOIC at the beginning of each day prior to the start of any work and at the end of each day prior to departing to discuss progress.

4.4. Quality Assurance

The contractor shall be responsible for quality control for all work accomplished during the performance of the task up until receipt of delivery is confirmed with the 350 SWTS.

4.5. Warranty

The contractor shall provide all specifications of manufacturers’ warranty for the replacement parts.

4.6. Site Tour

Upon request, a tour of the facility and offload / receiving area can be conducted to accommodate delivery and receipt planning.

5. ACCEPTANCE

Upon completion of the delivery, the office furniture shall be subject to a final acceptance test performed by the contractor and the 350 SWTS POC.
