ADDENDUM #1 Date: May 6, 2019

PROJECT NAME: Replace Sound Baffles Firing Range

LOCATION: Building 3518 – Keesler AFB, Mississippi

PROJECT NUMBER: MAHG19-1023 WO80998

Changes to the Scope of Work:

Replace Section 3.2.4 with the following:

• REMOVE EXISTING:

o Contractor shall collect all debris off the floor and wipe down the floor prior to start of demolition to abate lead dust. Appropriate PPE shall be worn at all times. PPE (gloves, masks, etc.), wipes, and debris shall be deposited in appropriate containers and delivered to an environmental staging area on base for disposal. Old sound baffles, wood, and sound blankets can be discarded in a regular dumpster.

o Sound Board Baffles, unusable Sound Blanket (up to 5500 SF) and unusable wood blocking.

Closure Panels (reference sheet B205) with their attached speakers and lighting to remain.

• MODIFY EXISTING:

o Provide 800 LF of fire treated 2x4 furring and 800 SF of ¾” Plywood Backing to replace existing damaged material required to install new baffles.

All wood to be fire retardant Omit Plywood if not required by proposed system.

Provide approximately 100 steel brackets for furring attachment. Match existing.

• PROVIDE AND INSTALL NEW:

o Approximately 15,500 SF of 1” ceiling Sound Panels, 5500 SF of ceiling Sound Blanket and approximately 3500 SF of 2” Sound Panels on the walls.

Existing Troy Board Closure Panels (reference sheet B205) to remain.

Troy Board manufactured by Troy Accoustics or equal to.

• Flame Spread: 5, Smoke Developed: 113 using ASTM E-84 Class 1-A

• Must meet Reverb Time (RT60) of 1.5s or less

• Must meet and be installed according to US Air Force ETL 11-18

• Ceiling mounted baffles no more than 2lbs per SF.

• GENERAL NOTE

o Contractor shall notify Contracting Officer and Facility manager a minimum of 4 weeks prior to installation. Facility shut down must be coordinated and can only extend a maximum of 3 weeks.

o See Reference Drawings for current Baffle layout. Drawings are for referencing the existing conditions only and are not intended to direct any work within this contract.
