FROM: 36 EWS/EWI
SUBJECT: Technical Requirements Document for Electronic Cooling equipment
1. The 36 EWS/EWI has a requirement to purchase two (2) brand name or equal Electronic Warfare pod chillers for our laboratory equipment. The chillers will cool electronic warfare jamming pods during ground testing. The chillers need to meet meet all of the following requirements:
a. Temperature: Must be able to maintain pod temperature of 50 degrees Fahrenheit to 120 degrees Fahrenheit
b. Gallons per Minute (GPM): Flow rate needs to be 2.5 to 6 GPM
c. Supply Pressure: 120-200 PSI
d. Coolant Type Requirement: Coolanol 20 (See "Coolanol-20 reference" Pdf paragraph 7-4 for additional technical requirements).
e. Safety Activators with indicators or gauges:
• Over Temperature
• Coolant Low Flow
• AC Failure
