Helicopter to Support Government Natural Resource Missions QUESTIONS and ANSWERS
1. When has the burning started in ended based off historical data, (estimate)?
January - June
2. What is expected from the vendor for call up? Do we need to be ready in 5 minute notice? 1 hour notice? 24 hour notice during EU period?
2 hour response time.
3. What are the mandatory periods the Helicopter has to be available? Month and Day to what Month and what day?
Jan 1 – June 30
4. I have a question about the base year exclusive user period. The contract states it starts 4/1/19 however the contract wasn’t released until 4/10 and responses aren’t due until 5/13. Since this is past the EU start date with you modify the hours, EU period or both? If so what would be the modification?
The dates will be modified at time of award.
5. Can you advise who the previous/current contract was awarded to?
The previous contract was awarded to Leading Edge Aviation, Inc. FA2823-14-R-4029
6. Please advise as to the number of hours flown per year on the previous contract?
Appendix 2 of the Statement of work reflects the number of hours flown in the past.
7. How many time over the past contract were operations further than 100 miles from Eglin AFB?
None.
8. If operations over 100 miles from Eglin, please provide the duration of those operations.
N/A. Occasional travel to Tyndall AFB, FL which is approx. 80 miles. The helicopter will always depart from and return to base of operations (wherever helicopter is hangered).
