Chiller Room 102:
Will there be required phases of work that will be required to be completed and cured prior to moving to another designated area within the Chiller Room? Yes see 3.5 in PWS
Will the concrete equipment pads vertical sides and top s be required to be coated with the same floor coating system? Yes
If the equipment pad tops are to be coated will Facility personnel lift various piping off of the concrete pads or do you want the contractor to coat up to the piping? No, facility will not lift piping off of the pads. Contractor shall coat the pads as accessible. 3.1.1.
Will the "Sawcut" lines need to be re caulked or coated over with the three (3) part epoxy floor system?
3.1.1. Finished product needs to be a smooth surface. Contractor means and methods to ensure a smooth surface at saw cut lines.
Will the facility personnel remove and replace back equipment that can be removed prior to the start of the flooring work? Facility personnel will not remove equipment.
Will the facility personnel be able to provide 408 3 phase 50 amp circuit for our large Sase Grinder/Hepa Vac for the various phases of work? No

Boiler Room 101:
Will there be any phasing required for this room ? Yes 3.5

Are the areas under the Boiler pads to be coated? Assuming this question means under boilers, yes,
3.4.1. Pads shall be coated as accessible.

Please confirm that the Flooring system that was to be specified is the Sherwin Williams General Polymers FasTop S system with a Polyaspartic Top coat (4844) ? Per facility personnel, they did not have a reason to have a different floor system in the boiler room. 3.4.1 has been amended to match the 3 other rooms.
1.-Grinding the material off for the removal is a safe bet but if the current material is true to certain conditions then we can change our approach and therefore utilize a cheaper alternative like shot blasting or scraping it off. This is Contractor means and methods, so long as the end product is conforms to the PWS, the method is contractor discretion.
What is the thickness of the current product we are to remove? Facility personnel did not know current thickness.
Is it weak enough that you can chip it easily? In some areas, the current flooring is weak enough to chip away.
