Questions & Answers As of 04 Dec 2015 Question 1: Confirm maximum diameter (18” Round) of tree waste that can be hauled to B11510 on base.
Answer: Maximum length is 18 inches – not diameter.
Question 2: Confirm if herbicide on stumps after 6 months will be required per section 1.4.
Answer: Correct, this requirement will be removed from the requirement.
Question 3: Per section 2.1 Specific Tasks it states contractor is to fill all holes with topsoil, sod or reseed area. Please confirm if this will be needed in all areas where trees are to be removed and stumps to be ground out.
Answer: Only in manicured landscaped locations.
Question 4: On Map #3 please confirm count. After walk it was determined there was approx. 6 additional trees in this location not on map.
Answer: Tree count total equals 24 trees.
Question 5: On Map #4 please confirm count. There are 3 additional trees on the backside on south Dakota near Washington that were not on the map.
Answer: Tree count totals equal 14 trees.
Question 6: On Map #6 there are 2 trees that are currently under another contract. Please confirm those will be deleted and we will add (2) more on the opposite side of Colorado and Ocean that are not on the map.
Answer: Tree total amount equals 13 trees.
Question 7: On Map #6 are we to delete (6) trees near Nebraska and Ocean and replace them for (5) trees near Nebraska and Buellton Dr.
Answer: Correct, new maps to be issued.
Question 8: Confirm on Map #7 that the contractor will be able to broadcast wood chunks 25’ outside of electrical line and that we are not require to grind stumps due to communication / electrical / & water lines in the immediate area.
Answer: Correct.
Question 9: Confirm Map #7 will be deleted in its entirety and will be substituted by (2) alternate locations (Maps To Follow In RFI Response).
Answer: Map 8 will be deleted with new maps included in the RFI response.
Question 10: Please confirm if an updated Bid Template will be issued.
Answer: Yes, an updated quote template will be issued with an increase in total hours due to Site Visit findings for added trees.
Question 11: Are the hours listed in the solicitation, a) man hours or b) crew hours. If crew hours, how many in a crew?
Answer: Man-hours
Question 12: I do not see a map in the attached docs. Where can I get those at?
Answer: The maps will be provided by 30 CONS via the AMRDEC Safe secure website. Contractors must email mary.avants@us.af.mil to request access.
Question 13: Can firewood be hauled away from base and option?
Answer: Yes
Question 14: Is the mulch/wood chips going to VAFB recycling center?
Answer: No.
