Questions/Answers
1. Runway Closure – Will there be any specific method the Contractor must implement to close the runway?
Airfield will be closed during the duration of the Rubber removal. In an event if there is any incoming planes then the contractor will be given at least 15 – 20 minute notice to get off the runway.
2. Taxiway Closure – Will there be any specific method the Contractor must implement to close taxiways?
Airfield will be closed during the duration of the Rubber removal. In an event if there is any incoming planes then the contractor will be given at least 15 – 20 minute notice to get off the runway.
3. Can you confirm that the Contractor will have access to hydrants on base for a water source?
A specific water hydrant will be assigned for the contractor to fill-up the water tank
4. Can you confirm the location of the designated discharge locations for the vac truck?
There is a manhole/storm water drain on the east side of the north part of the runway that usually contractor uses/designated for the discharge
5. Can any of this work be performed at night?
It will be performed 24-7 day and night shift.
6. Will the contractor be required to provide runway closure markers for the runway?
No generator or barricade is required
7. Will barricades be required at taxiways?
No generator or barricade is required
