Questions & Answers for Solicitation F1T0CW2095AG01 Paint Booth Filters & Replacement
Question 1: Does the requirement include the replacement of intake filters for the paint booth?
Answer: While the intake filters are a vital part of the assembly, the requirement does not include that these be replaced at this time, as the user is confident that they are still good and in useable condition.
Question 2: What paint is being used? Is it hazmat?
Answer: We use many different types of paint required for each aircraft and the support equipment for those aircraft. The filters themselves are considered hazardous materials because of the paint they have absorbed. There is no other Hazmat Materials needed to complete this requirement.
Question 3: Is personal protection equipment needed for removal of these items?
Answer: Dust masks are normally used.
Question 4: What is the dimension of the paint booth where the filters are located?
Answer: Approximately 150' across and 30' high.
Question 5: Will a scissor lift be needed due to height?
Answer: Yes; normally two men will be on the lift.
Question 6: Will filter disposal documentation be needed?
Answer: Yes; this will be documented locally.
Question 7: Can the filters be disposed of on base or do they need to be taken off site and disposed off?
Answer: The filters will be disposed of on base. The service provider must remove the filters from the current location and place them in provided containers for disposal.
