AIR COMPRESSOR MAINTENANCE REQUIREMENT

F1M2X1523AW01_Air Compressor_PMI

Questions and Answers (13 December 2016)

Q1: Section 8.3.2.2 (#5 Pressure washing cooler). Is this in the machine or pull and pressure wash out of the machine.

Answer: In Machine

Q2: Is the unit in Section 8.2.3.3 Pneumatech Nitrogen generator for inspections only?

Answer: Yes. All required PM inspections to include filter, oils, desiccants etc.

Q3: Section 8.3.4.2.2 (#4) suggests there is a calibration kit # to use but no number is listed.

Answer: No calibration kit # is listed in manual.

Q4: Is there a valve service schedule wanted for the DM300's 8.3.4.1 other than the shuttle valve check annually?

Answer: No. Manual indicates to check condition and replace seals if “nicked or worn”

Q5: When were the valves on section 8.3.4.2.3 last changed and clarifying this is on the BAM 104 Breathing Air Dryer?

Answer: August 2015

Q6: What is the solution for replacing compressed air equipment with new equipment during the 5 year contract? There could be a cost difference in parts and lubricant needed for the new equipment, not originally included in the PMI based off of the current PWS's equipment list.

What would be the best way to handle the parts and labor for that equipment that was included, but is now no longer needed? What would be the best was to handle if different parts and labor are needed for the new equipment, that was not originally included in the PMI?

Answer: It would depend on different variables. The consumables (oil, filters, belts, etc) on the old machine versus the consumables on the new machine would be a factor in price. Any new machines purchased would require (warranty) the customer to use manufactured suggested consumables so it would most likely be more expensive.

It is not determined at this time what machines the customer will need to replace during the 5 year contract. At this time, the customer may have to replace the nitrogen generator in Bldg 532 but the replacement equipment is unknown.

"For bidding purposes, bid according to the PWS, RFQ and Solicitation for this requirement." Future assumptions cannot be made at this time.
