ADDENDUM TO 52.212-2 EVALUATION-COMMERCIAL ITEMS

BASIS OF AWARD/EVALUATION CRITERIA

0. BASIS OF AWARD

The Government will award this delivery order to the contractor that provides the lowest price quote that is also rated technically acceptable (lowest price technically acceptable). To be technically acceptable, the contractor’s supplies must meet the brand name specifications indicated in this RFP. Award will further be contingent upon determinations of contractor responsibility and price reasonableness.

0. EVALUATION CRITERIA

Responses will be evaluated on a Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) basis.

2.1 PRICE

The Government will evaluate price to determine the price to be consistent with and based upon the data provided in the contractor’s price proposal. In addition, price shall be determined fair and reasonable and comply with the terms and conditions of this solicitation.

2.2 TECHNICAL APPROACH

The Government will evaluate the contractor’s quote by determining whether the proposed goods show a technical understanding consistent with the descriptions in the specs (Attachment I: Contract Line Item Specifications). If the contractor’s proposal meets the requirement, it will be rated acceptable. If the contractor’s quote does not meet the requirement, it will be rated unacceptable.

The contractor’s quote does not have to match the specifications listed in Attachment I precisely. However, if the contractor proposes equipment that’s different than those specifications, it is the contractor’s onus to prove that the equipment is brand name or equal to the specifications stated.
