About this file

Exhibit E is a detailed Networking and Programming Scope document for the University of Wyoming's (UW) Fall 2025 Campus Classrooms Audio-Visual Technology Refresh project. The document outlines specific technical requirements for network configuration and system programming for classroom audiovisual equipment, including comprehensive guidelines for device naming, network settings, peripheral device isolation, and system startup/shutdown behaviors. The scope covers detailed specifications for network device management, such as DHCP settings, MAC address submissions, and network switch configurations, with UWIT (University of Wyoming Information Technology) providing critical configuration files and port assignments.

The programming requirements are highly technical, specifying precise audio and video system behaviors including microphone muting defaults, automatic system shutdown times, camera preset configurations, and audio processing parameters. Key technical specifications include setting up three camera presets for rear and front cameras, implementing minimal audio signal processing with specific requirements for program audio, microphone inputs, and output processing. The document mandates advanced audio processing techniques like high-pass and low-pass filtering, compression, parametric EQ, gated mixers, and ensuring the audio space is balanced to 75 dBA. UWIT will provide template GUI and touch panel files, and the supplier must create a test program to verify all control and endpoint functionalities.

EXHIBIT E

NETWORKING AND PROGRAMMING SCOPE

Network:

• All devices will be named according to the UWIT Equipment Naming Scheme

• All devices will be set to DHCP on UW’s campus.

• UWIT will provide a Configuration File for Network Switches.

• UWIT will provide Port Assignments for Network Switches.

• All devices will need their MAC addresses & Hostnames submitted at least 10 business days prior to the beginning of on-site installation.

• All devices will have any automatic updates or equivalent turned OFF.

• All peripheral devices will be on an isolated network from UW’s enterprise network, except for projectors and LCD monitors.

• All Control Processors with more than 1 NIC will have one NIC designated for an isolated network and another NIC designated for the enterprise network for monitoring purposes.

• UWIT will handle all LAN port conversions and VLAN assignments, if necessary.

Programming:

Note: At the very minimum, the supplier will be responsible for a test program to verify all control, endpoints are functioning as outlined below.

• On system start, all mics will be muted by default and audio will be un-muted and set to half of the system volume.

• The system should automatically turn off at 11pm local time.

• On system stop, all mics and audio will be muted

• On system stop, all cameras will return to an “away” or “standby” position.

• Systems with multiple displays should be able to route any source content to any display at any time.

• System displays will be independently controllable through an ‘Options’ page with discrete On, Off, AV Mute.

• System Cameras will each have 3 defined presets (coordinate with UWIT to confirm preferred preset locations, though generally as noted below) along with full PTZ controls on the Touch Panel.

o Rear camera (capturing the front of the room) Preset 1 – Wide shot of front of classroom Preset 2 - Medium shot of classroom “stage” area Preset 3 – Medium shot of teaching lectern area

RFP KLW-2025-23

o Front camera(s) (capturing student/audience area) Preset 1 – Wide shot of the room Preset 2 – Medium shot of ~50% of the student seating Preset 3 – Medium shot of the other ~50% of the student seating o System Cameras capable of Automatic Camera Preset Recall to predefined presets in coordination with microphone array audio telemetry should be configured for appropriate “zone” video capture for audience interaction.

• UWIT will provide template GUIs or Touch Panel files.

• There should be minimal processing on all audio signals, but note the following:

o Program Audio Processing Faders for program audio should be locked to not exceed 0db o Microphone Processing All microphone inputs should have the following processing available for each discreet input

• High-Pass Filter -> Low-Pass Filter -> Compressor -> (At minimum) 3 Band Parametric EQ Gated Mixers will be used, post processing, for multiple audience mic channels Microphones will be fed into the AEC pre-processing o Output Processing 31 Band GEQ for each Speaker Output and delay compensation Stereo Audio will be mixed down in DSP to mono for 70v systems The space will be balanced to 75 dBA
