About this file
Exhibit B details the project specifics for the Franklin Park Station relocation project for the Toledo Area Regional Transit Authority (TARTA), which involves moving the current station from Royer Street on the East Side of the Mall to Monroe Street on the North side of the mall. The new station location will be adjacent to JCPenney and BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse, with plans to incorporate multiple transportation and community amenities.
The proposed station will feature a comprehensive multi-modal transportation hub with diverse capabilities, including dedicated spaces for taxis, platform bus stops for mobility-impaired individuals and transportation network companies, a cycle center for e-bikes and e-scooters, rideshare pickup zones, an EV-charging station, and additional passenger-focused infrastructure. Planned amenities also include a shelter with seating, Wi-Fi, wayfinding signage, ticket vending machines, an interactive trip planning kiosk, a mini electronic billboard for real-time information, a pocket park, a pedestrian plaza with food truck/cart space, and a micro transit stop, demonstrating a comprehensive approach to modern urban transit infrastructure.
