About this file
This is a Work Write-Up for Electrical Upgrades prepared by the City of Jackson, Michigan, specifically targeting electrical system improvements at 122 Rockwell Street. The project involves comprehensive electrical system upgrades including installing hardwired smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, creating new dedicated circuits for the furnace and water heater, and adding GFCI outlets in the basement. The contract opportunity is being managed through the City of Jackson's e-Procurement Portal, with sealed proposals being accepted for the 2025 electrical upgrade project. Contractors are permitted to contact the homeowner directly to access the property and assess the project scope.
The electrical upgrade work is expected to bring the property into compliance with current Housing Code and Electrical Regulations, with specific requirements for wall and ceiling repairs, outlet wiring, and code adherence. Bidders must demonstrate compliance with various civil rights statutes, including Title VI and Title VIII of the Civil Rights Act, the Michigan Civil Rights Act, and related equal employment opportunity standards. The project appears to be funded through a local government program, with the electrical contractor responsible for comprehensive system improvements, repair work, and ensuring all installations meet current municipal and safety standards.
