14. DESCRIPTION OF AMENDMENT/MODIFICATION (Organized by UCF section headings, including solicitation/contract subject matter where feasible.)
This amendment is three-fold. First, it serves to change the deadline for requests for an explanation or interpretation of the solicitation, drawings, specifications, etc. from 4:00 P.M., Wednesday, September 7, 2016 to 12:00 P.M., Monday, September 19, 2016.
Second, it clarifies that a Firm-Fixed-Price Contract will be awarded as a result of this solicitation and any required changes to the contract will be administered in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation Clause 52.243-4, Changes.
Third, it serves to include all questions asked by prospective offerors and the answers provided by the Contracting
Officer's Representative.

1. Q: What is the deadline for all questions or requests for information?

A: Requests for an explanation or interpretation of the solicitation, drawings, specifications, etc. is extended to 12:00
P.M., Monday, September 19, 2016.
2. Q: Is the building and foundation information to be submitted with the bid?
A: Only the proposed manufacturer information shall be submitted with the bid. All the building and foundation information will be submitted as a required contractor’s submittal.
3. Q: What is the size of the foundations for the flag and anchor memorial?
A: No drawings could be located that show the foundations for the flag pole and the anchor memorial. For bid purposes, assume that the flag pole foundation goes to seven (7) feet below grade and the anchor memorial goes down to five (5) feet below grade.
4. Q: Interested parties asked for clarifications on what was expected for the discharge of waste water from equipment used?
A: The contractor shall not allow untreated/unfiltered water to enter existing drains or be run onto the ground surface.
. The untreated/unfiltered water or the solids obtained through filtering can be disposed of in the concrete spoil area.
Only clear filtered water may be allowed to enter existing drains or be disposed of on the surface. Surface disposed water shall not be allowed to freeze or otherwise form a slipping hazard.
5. Q: What if the building we choose to erect has different foundation requirements than those on your drawings and specifications?
A: The contract requirements have been developed to accommodate a typical foundation design required for this type of building. If the submitted foundation design requires a material change to the contract requirements that may result in additional costs, the contractor shall also be required to justify the potential change and submit supporting documentation to the Contracting Officer for review prior to approval of the submittal.
6. Q: What building manufacturers have you used successfully on our past projects?
A: The building manufacturers that we have used successfully on our past projects are: Allied Steel Buildings, Star
Building Systems, Varco-Pruden and Butler. Other suitable buildings may be available from Morton Buildings and
Kelly Klosure.*
