GALLEY DECK REPAIRS
ABSTRACT
Galley deck areas have covering that has failed or is worn and no longer seals water from leaking below the top coat. Additionally, there are locations where water is captured below the deck covering and is percolating up through the deck covering cracks. There is approximately 800 square feet of deck that needs to be removed and the underlayment inspected. If the underlayment has failed then it must be removed and the steel deck scaled to SP3 and primed and coated then new underlayment installed. Contractor is responsible for all interference removal and reinstallation necessary to gain access to the affected decking. Contractor is to supply all necessary labor, materials, transportation and rigging and disposal of removed materials and debris. The job scope is time sensitive and must be done by no later than April 10, 2017 so that the ship is ready for cruise preparations. Contractor must have done the same type of work on at least 3 ships or multiple jobs aboard the same ship within the last 3 years and supply proof of that experience with a point of contact for each ship or the multiple jobs aboard one or more ships.
