Solicitation No. DTFH70-09-B-00016

Preliminary Plans Available - Preliminary plans are being posted on the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website to aid prospective bidders in identifying the location and type of work for this project. The project will be advertised during a period when viewing of the entire length of the project may not be possible due to snow. Therefore, prospective bidders are encouraged to view the project during fall as conditions permit. No Federal Highway Administration personnel will be available for show-me tours.

While it is not required, we highly recommend that you videotape the entire project for your use during the estimating phase.

Location - Grangemont Road is located approximately three miles north of Orofino (45 miles east of Lewiston), in Clearwater County, Idaho. This project, 18.8 miles in length, begins at approximately milepost 3.4 on Grangemont Road and heads northeast. The project ends at approximately milepost 26.3, where Grangemont Road intersects with Idaho State Highway 11.

Type of Work – This project is being solicited under two bid schedules designated A and B.

Schedules A and B represent alternate amounts of work (Schedule A includes 2½ inches of asphalt; Schedule B includes 3 inches) and not alternate methods of completing the work.
