DJM-17-A37-Q-0171 – AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE
REQUEST FOR INFORMATION / SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE (RFI/SSN)
RESPONSES TO ADDITIONAL QUESTIONS RECEIVED IN REFERENCE TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT:
QUESTION #3: Understand the RFI states “vendor’s facility” for location, is there a possibility to perform the work can be performed within the USMS facility if a dedicated team is sent to perform the work?
RESPONSE: The Government is unable to offer their facilities in performance of this effort as the daily maintenance support responsibilities of the remaining fleet of aircraft may require the use of the Government facilities during this time-frame.
QUESTION #4: If the vendor is responsible for supplying any and all kits associated with the ADs and SBs as applicable. Has the Government already performed a review to reflect the kits are available to meet the Government’s schedule?
RESPONSE: The Government has performed a preliminary review of the requirements associated with the specified Airworthiness Directives and Service Bulletins and did not identify any required kits. Therefore, no further research has been accomplished by the Government with the intent of identifying kit availability. If, based on the Government’s schedule, the vendor is unable to obtain any kits associated with the ADs and SBs, please provide this information with your response to the RFI/SSN.
Capabilities packages, information and/or any feedback shall be submitted (via e-mail) to the POC listed below not later than 12:00 pm (noon) ET, February 14, 2017. Any questions concerning this announcement shall be in writing (e-mail) to the POC listed below. No telephone calls will be accepted.
