Statement of Work Utility Bed for Ford F-350 Extended Cab DRW

The requirement is to provide and install a utility bed on a 2015 Ford F-350 Extended Cab and Chassis Dual Real Wheels. Minimum requirements are outlined below.

Utility Bed:

· 60" raised front compartments on both sides

· Power compartment locks

· Rear deck area with fold down side boards

· Pull out drawers configured as follows:

· Front Compartments: (1) 6" / (6) 4"

· Middle Compartment street side: (1) 8"

· (7) Swivel J-Hooks in each rear compartment

· Top opening compartments on both sides

· HD Overhead rack with window guard, enclosed over cab, swing away center bar, (4) strap ratchets, various round stock tie offs

· LED compartment lights

· (2) LED area lights

· (1) Go-light, LED STT lights

· (2) tailboard flush mounted strobe lights

· (4) 4" x 120" under-bed storage tubes with cast aluminum access doors

· (1) Row of E series logistical track on each inside wall

· Swing out cross arm framing brackets on rear tailboard

· (1) Fold up cast aluminum step at the front of each side pack

· 1000 watt pure sine inverter installed in cab under back seat

· Spray on liner

· Powder Coat White

· 126” x 94” heavy dusty electrical utility bed

Compartments:

· The truck bed shall have a unitized compartment pack on each side.

· Each pack shall consist of (4) 22” deep compartments.

· The first compartment shall be 59-1/2” tall and 36” wide and will be located fore of the wheel well. The second and third compartments shall be 38” tall.

· The middle compartment shall be 42” wide and be located above the wheel well.

· The third compartment shall be 27” wide.

· The fourth compartment shall be located above the second and third and shall have a top opening lid.

· The compartments shall be fabricated of 12 GA steel front panels with a 14 GA internal dividers.

· There shall be no seam in between compartments; the entire outside and end panels shall be formed from a single sheet.

· The doors shall be fabricated utilizing a 12 GA outer panel and a 14 GA inner stiffener panel.

· The flush mounted doors shall be equipped with a seamless automotive style bulb seal, and held in place with marine grade investment cast 316 stainless steel hinges.

· The latches shall be heavy duty compression style and have a powder coated die cast housing.

· The compression mechanism shall be supported by a roller bearing for smooth actuation and shall be adjustable.

· The latches shall have tamper resistant locking mechanisms, and all locks shall be keyed the same. Each latch shall be equipped with a power locking mechanism tied into the chassis locking system.

Compartment Storage:

· Each front compartment shall have seven pull out drawers – (6) 4” deep & (1) 6” deep. Drawers shall have a 500 lb rating, utilize a key locking “T” handle, and be powder coated. Each drawer shall easily lift out of the unit. The drawers shall have a lifetime warranty.

· The bottom over wheel compartment shall have an 8” deep pull out drawer suspended from the top of the compartment.

· The rear compartment shall be equipped with a set of rotating hooks. Each set will contain 2 hooks on each side wall and 3 hooks on the rear wall for a total of 7 hooks.

Deck:

· The truck bed shall be fabricated from 12 GA steel.

· The deck between the compartments shall be 49” wide. The deck will widen to 94” aft of the compartments.

· The deck shall have inboard stake pockets to accommodate 12” removable side boards aft of the compartments.

· The deck shall have integral fenders formed into it aft of the compartments.

· The street side of the deck shall have a recessed fuel fill.

· The bed shall have a heavy duty one piece 12 GA smooth steel bulkhead. The headboard shall have CNC cut window holes large enough to provide a clear view from the cab, yet small enough to provide protection to the rear window.

· The bed shall have a rear tailboard constructed of formed 12 GA smooth steel.

· The entire deck surface and inside walls of the compartments shall be lined with a spray on bed liner (black).

Overhead Rack:

· The truck bed shall be equipped with a heavy duty overhead rack

· The rack shall extend over the cab of the truck to the windshield.

· The rack shall be fully enclosed over the cab, have one heavy duty cross bar tied into the top of the compartments at the front of the bed, and a mid-ship and rear cross bar which can pivot open and be stowed without using tools.

· There shall be two positions in which a cross tube can be placed to carry heavy wire spools.

· The rack shall be equipped with (4) strap ratchets per side.

Lighting:

· The truck bed shall be equipped with a LED lighting system to meet all FMVSS 108 standards.

· All lights shall be flush mounted.

· LED strobe lights shall be mounted flush in the tailboard and wired to the OEM up fitter switches.

· Each compartment shall be equipped overhead LED lights wired to the OEM up fitter switches.

· A Go-light model 7901 with a wireless handheld remote shall be installed on the street side of the overhead rack above the cab.

· (2) LED projector lights shall be installed.

Accessories:

· The truck bed shall be equipped with a category 5 receiver type trailer hitch and rear under ride bumper.

· A 1000 watt pure sine inverter shall be installed in the rear of the cab and incorporated into the chassis electrical system.

· Mud flaps shall be installed aft of the tires.

· A fold up foot step shall be installed on the front of each side pack.

· There shall be (4) 4” diameter hot stick tubes running under the deck. The tubes shall have cast aluminum end caps which extend from the rear of the deck.

· There shall be two heavy duty swing out brackets for assembling power pole cross arms. The brackets shall stow flush against the rear deck panel.

· There shall be two rows of E series logistic track on the rear wall of the street side pack.

· An approximately 100 gallon baffled fuel tank shall be at the front of the deck in between the side packs.

Installation:

· The bidder shall supply a detailed 3D drawing of the proposed truck bed along with their bid.

· The vendor shall be responsible for the pickup of the chassis and delivery of the completed unit.

Finish:

· The entire truck bed shall be sand blasted upon completion and then coated with a baked on polyester powder coat.

· The bed shall have no less than five mills of black undercoating applied after it is powder coated.

· The rear deck area aft of the compartments shall be coated with a sprayed on polyurethane non-slip truck bed liner.
