About this file

This is a delivery requirements document that outlines specific conditions for food deliveries to the Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Correctional Complex Hazelton facility. The document specifies strict temperature requirements: non-frozen perishables must be delivered between 34-40°F, canned goods above 34°F, and frozen foods at 0°F or below. Products showing signs of prior thawing will be refused.

The requirements mandate that all deliveries must be palletized unless pre-arranged with warehouse staff. Religious diet items must display Kosher symbols on individual packages and comply with BOP National Menu Specifications. The facility maintains a three-day conditional receipt period for inspection and testing, with unacceptable items requiring vendor pickup within two days of notification. Items not retrieved within two weeks will be disposed of by warehouse staff. This document appears to be part of a larger solicitation for quarterly bread delivery services for FY25 Q2 (January-March 2025) at the FCC Hazelton facility in Bruceton Mills, West Virginia.
