Text version

The costs for flights to Wake are attached ($1690 RT from JBPHH). According to the same memo, the billeting cost charged to the visitor is in accordance with the JFTR during day of visit. Flight cost won't change within FY, but billeting/meals are subject to JFTR change at any time.

If this is their first experience as an NFE using this website, the website location is as follows:

http://www.defensetravel.dod.mil/site/travelreg.cfm or http://www.defensetravel.dod.mil/pdcgi/pd-rates/opdrates5.cgi

Q1 What is the cost of renting a mule for 14 days?

I'm only aware of one firm on island with such capability and they are called Chugach Federal Solutions.

Contact info can be found on their public website. If one finds that the website is too tedious, other NFE's doing work on Wake have found the following individual to be helpful with such market research questions: Ronald.Lurk@chugachgov.com.

http://www.chugach.com/companies/federal-government-work/base-operations-support-bos/chugach-federal-solutions

Q2 What is the cost of a generator rental, which will power lights in the facility "caddy shack". Is there a mobilization and a demobilization cost. Is there a generator on island that we can use, or do we have to fly one out there?

The USAF PRSC doesn't have a stockpile of idle operable generator(s) on Wake for this project, thus the NFE will need to bring one or rent one. I'm only aware of one firm on island with such capability to rent and they are called Chugach Federal Solutions. The previously issued website has contact info or the NFE can reach out to the gentlemen at this address for info on costs from CFSI :

Ronald.Lurk@chugachgov.com.
