About this file
This is a certification document from the South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) addressing commissioner conflict of interest provisions required for contract execution. The certification, dated September 9, 2020, establishes compliance requirements for contractors and consultants bidding on SCDOT projects, specifically the D6 On Call Sidewalk Replace/Repair contract. The document requires authorized representatives of the contractor or consultant to certify that no member of the SCDOT Commission has a direct or indirect interest in the proposal, bid, or any resulting contract, franchise, privilege, or benefit granted by the Department in connection with the project. This restriction applies during each commissioner's term of appointment and for one year following termination of appointment.
The contractor or consultant must additionally certify that all sub-consultants, subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, employees, and agents will comply with these provisions throughout the procurement and award process and remain bound by these restrictions for the duration of the contract period. The certification requires the authorized representative's signature, printed name, date, and title as evidence of compliance with Section 57-1-350(G) of the Code of Laws of South Carolina 1976, as amended by Act 40 of 2017. No other pricing terms, funding sources, or contract specifics are detailed in this certification document.
