Statement of Work (SOW)

MALDI BIOTYPER COMPLETE CARE SERVICE

GENERAL INFORMATION

1.0 Scope of Work: Contractor will provide factory trained engineers to perform two (2) preventive maintenance service visits and unlimited emergency visits and also provide parts, labor, travel, and software upgrades for the MALDI BIOTYPER instrument located at 1815 N University Street in Peoria Illinois.

Covered components will include:

1. 1 (One) Planned Maintenance (PM) visit per year with complete inspection of listed instrumentation

2. 1 (One) cleaning visit OR 1 (One) additional PM.

3. Unlimited onsite emergency service visits.

4. Parts, labor, travel.

5. Software Upgrades: Bruker proprietary software only

2.0 Background: Preventive maintenance has been procured for this instrument since it was purchased to ensure continued & reliable operation in support of the NCAUR research mission.

CONTRACTOR REQUIREMENTS

3.0 Technical Requirements/Tasks:

Service tasks include, but are not limited to:

1. Onsite response of Three (3) Business Days: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm.

2. 1 (One) Planned Maintenance (PM) visit per year with complete inspection of listed instrumentation

3. 1 (One) cleaning visit OR 1 (One) additional PM will be inclusive after Bruker service engineer diagnoses the system and recommends a visit.

4. Unlimited onsite emergency service visits

5. Parts, labor, travel. Exclusions noted in the Terms and Conditions of the Bruker service agreement

6. Software Upgrades: Bruker proprietary software only, excludes 3rd party software; excludes hardware necessary to upgrade system compatibility

7. Contractor will provide a Hotline number for applications/technical service during normal business hours; Technical support hotline outside normal business hours of 5PM-12AM EST weekdays, 9AM-9PM EST on weekends and holidays.*Bruker’s first line of support is via a remote access: If remote access is not available, on-site response time and/or repair may be delayed by a minimum of TWO additional business days from on-site response time stated in the Bruker maintenance agreement.

4.0 Government Furnished: Government-furnished support is limited to security access to the equipment in the NCAUR facility, replacement parts not otherwise covered under this agreement, AC power (110VAC), and standard office lighting.

6.0 Travel: Two (2) preventive maintenance service visits will be provided by the contractor. All service visits will be coordinated with the MALDI BIOTYPER Operator at NCAUR.

7.0 Contractor’s Key Personnel: Only factory trained engineers are to perform any service procedure on the MALDI BIOTYPER.

8.0 Security Requirements: A copy of an official government photo ID (State-issued driver’s license or ID card, passport, green card, etc.) must be provided no later than one week before arrival of contract service technician(s) except in the case of emergency service, were only the name of the technician provided via email or telephone will be necessary. Security access to the NCAUR facility will be provided based on this identification requirement.

9.0 Data Rights: Not applicable.

10.0 Section 508 – Electronic and Information Technology Standards: Not applicable.
